Job Summary

As a Freelance Industrial Mechanical Recruiter, you will be responsible for sourcing, screening, and placing highly qualified candidates for our clients in the industrial mechanical sector. This role allows for part-time, flexible hours, with opportunities to earn income based on successful placements. You will work remotely, with access to our platforms resources and exclusive recruitment seminars designed to enhance your effectiveness and earnings potential.

Key Competencies & Metrics

This role requires proficiency in the following key metrics and skills:

Expertise

  • Bachelor Degree in Human Resource Management or Business Administration (with HR focus) or Mechanical Engineering or Industrial Engineering, or Industrial Technology.
  • Professional in Human Resources (PHR), Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR), or Certified Talent Acquisition Specialist (CTAS) for general recruitment. Candidates who have completed courses or certifications in technical recruiting, safety standards, and industrial recruitment are preferred.
  • Demonstrated experience in previous recruitment roles, preferably in technical or industrial-focused environments, with a strong track record in sourcing, screening, and hiring technical talent.
  • Minimum of 7+ years in recruiting specifically for the industrial or mechanical sector, focusing on roles such as mechanical engineers, maintenance technicians, machinists, etc.
  • In-depth knowledge of mechanical roles, such as manufacturing processes, machinery operation, or technical specifications relevant to industrial recruitment.
  • Experienced with ATS software, CRM tools, and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Familiarity with productivity tools such as Asana, Trello, or Slack for managing recruitment tasks.

Health, Safety & Environment (HSE)

  • Basic Safety Certifications Familiarity with OSHA or other general safety certifications is preferred.
  • Past Compliance with Safety Protocols Demonstrated understanding and adherence to safety practices and protocols when recruiting for roles within environments where safety is crucial.
  • Knowledge of Environmental Regulations Awareness of environmental compliance requirements Professional to industrial settings, which may impact recruitment.

Productivity

  • Contributions to process improvement in recruitment, candidate experience, or sourcing methodologies.
  • Proven ability to solve recruitment challenges, such as filling hard-to-recruit roles or sourcing talent in competitive markets.
  • Maintains high standards under high-volume or high-stakes hiring pressures, delivering reliable results.
  • Ability to Meet Deadlines and Task Completion: Proven record of meeting recruitment deadlines and efficiently filling roles under time constraints.
  • Experience in adjusting recruitment strategies or processes to accommodate unexpected changes in role requirements or urgency.

Behavior

  • Strong verbal skills, demonstrated in previous recruitment roles, for effective collaboration with hiring managers and candidates.
  • Proficient in clear and concise written communication, including documenting hiring progress, preparing job descriptions, and following up with candidates.
  • Proven ability to collaborate well in team settings, working with hiring managers and cross-functional teams to meet recruitment goals.
  • Skilled in handling and resolving conflicts diplomatically between hiring managers and candidates when necessary.
  • Demonstrates a proactive attitude and openness to ongoing learning, especially in evolving recruitment and technical skills.
  • Consistently punctual and dependable, with a track record of meeting deadlines and maintaining positive candidate experiences.
